Day centres and services

Day centres provide a friendly and sociable environment for older members of the community who, for various reasons, find it more difficult to get out and about by themselves.

Allensway Learning Disability Resource Centre

Allensway Learning Disability Resource Day Centre is a day care centre for people with learning disabilities. Allensway offers a day service 5 days a week and is mainly based in the building. For further information contact:

Adult Learning Disability Community Day Options Service 

Central Stockton Day Service provides a range of opportunities for people with learning disabilities which are designed to maintain and, where possible, to develop skills which can be used in everyday life. For further information contact:

LiveWell Dementia Hub

The LiveWell Dementia Hub is a community-based service that provides dementia information, support and training for anyone living in Stockton-on-Tees. This includes people with dementia, their families, their carers and anyone who would like to learn more about the condition.

The Hub environment has been designed to better support people with dementia and offers a calm space where you can access:

  • up-to-date information about dementia  
  • information about the services, support groups and social activities available locally
  • memory service appointments
  • dementia training

The Halcyon Centre

The Halcyon Centre is a day service for adults and older people, including those living with dementia. A place at the centre can only be offered following an assessment by a Social Worker.  Referrals should be made to our First Contact team:
