Street collection permits
To collect money or sell items for charitable or other purposes on any footpath, highway or public place, you need to apply for a street collection permit. You do not need a permit if your collection will take place on private land.
Before you apply
Before you apply, read the Charities Act 1992.
How to apply
There is no cost for a permit and anyone over the age of 16 can apply.
You must submit your application at least 28 working days before your planned collection.
