Health and Wellbeing Board

Our Health and Wellbeing Board, an official Committee of the Council, ensures healthy relationships and partnership work with all health providers.

The board aims to:

  • improve and protect the Borough's health
  • improve the health of the most in need
  • ensure a joined-up approach to the planning and delivery of services aimed at improving health and wellbeing
  • address inequalities where they exist

The board oversees the development of Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNA), a tool to inform and guide the planning and delivery of health, wellbeing, social care and related services within Stockton-on-Tees. Partnership working is an essential component to JSNAs, bringing together a range of stakeholders with a shared interest to stimulate positive action for the residents of the Borough.

Terms of reference are reviewed each year to ensure all objectives are being met and to continue to promote strong work with relevant partners.
