Distance learning courses on offer from Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council this summer

A range of distance learning courses are on offer from Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Learning and Skills service this summer.

The courses, ranging from IT skills to caring for the elderly, can be completed in your own time at your own pace.

The vast majority are fully funded, which means they are free as long as they are completed.

Councillor Nigel Cooke, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Housing, said: "There are dozens of courses available covering a wide range of topics and sectors, which means there's something for everyone.

"They're a great option if you're looking for work and want to boost your CV, or if you're waiting to start your next university term and want to keep yourself ticking over.

"There's great content and remember that the vast majority won't cost you a penny as long as you finish them.

"I'd urge anyone who thinks they might benefit from doing one of these distance learning courses to get signed up!"
