A new-look programme including over 100 free courses has been unveiled in a bid to help new learners achieve their career and pastime aspirations in 2019.

From languages to maths, from digital skills to crafts and from apprenticeships to functional courses to help you get into work - the service offers something for everyone.

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Learning and Skills Service boasts over 50 years' experience in teaching, training and delivering qualifications in a friendly and inclusive environment.

Councillor Nigel Cooke, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Housing, said: "Whether you're retired or in the early stages of your career - the Learning and Skills Service offers a range of exciting opportunities.

"We have seen brilliant results in helping people wanting to further their career or find a new hobby, so I would encourage anybody looking for a challenge to see what the service could do for them."

An open event will be held from 12-2pm and 6-8pm on Wednesday 16 January at Billingham Community Centre for those wanting to find out more about the courses.
