Birth, death and marriage certificates
Stockton Register Office holds records for births, deaths and marriages dating back to 1837 and civil partnerships dating back to 2005. Certified copies of the entries can be purchased from these periods onwards.

The Register Office at Middlesbrough holds records for the majority of births and deaths registered between October 1971 and 31 March 1996.

How to order a certificate
You can purchase copies of certificates from the Register Office in the following ways:
- phone 01642 527720 with the details of the copy certificate that you wish to purchase and pay with debit or credit card
- visit the Register Office to request your certificate and pay with debit or credit card
