Whatever your New Year goals, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Learning and Skills Service is offering an exciting choice of courses, both classroom-based and online, to help you achieve them.
From English, maths and IT skills, to arts and crafts, apprenticeships and teacher training, there really is something for everyone.
And there are more courses on offer than ever before covering a wide range of employment sectors, including:
- Health and Social Care
- Childcare
- Education
- Digital
- Arts, Leisure and Culture
- Hospitality and Catering
Learning new skills doesn't have to cost a fortune, and most of the adult learning courses in the Spring and Summer 2023 programme are completely free.
Councillor Nigel Cooke, the Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Housing, said: "January is the time for a fresh start for many, so follow through with those New Year's Resolutions to transform your life and sign up for one of our many courses available.
"Whether you need qualifications, are entering or returning to the workplace, are looking to progress or just hoping to increase your knowledge, we'll be there to help you reach the next level.
"Almost all our courses are completely free. We can help those on the tightest budgets with materials for study, exam fees and even childcare costs, and our centres are warm friendly spaces with staff who really do care. We also run distance learning courses, which means you could even learn from the comfort of your own home!"
Enrolling or applying for courses online is quick, secure and easy. Find out more by visiting the Learning and Skills website where you can also download the new January course guide or call the Stockton Learning and Skills Service on 01642 527916.
