Allison Trainer Park
Allison Trainer Park lies adjacent to Littleboy Park in Thornaby and includes a replica of the town's famous Five Lamps.
The park has a good network of tree-lined footpaths and cycleways, which connect to the nearby Littleboy Park.
Near the junction of Mitchell Avenue and Acklam Road stands the iconic Five Lamps. A replica of the original feature erected in 1874 at the junction of George Street and Mandale Road. At that previous location, the Five Lamps became an important focal point for Thornaby.
The park was renamed in 2011 as a tribute to former local Councillor Allison Trainer. There is a commemorative plaque close to the Five Lamps.
