Secondary and primary coordinated admissions timetable 2023/24

Date	Activity
Week commencing 11 September 2023	Online applications becomes live and Common Application Forms (CAFs) and other information to parents.
31 October 2023	Closing date for online applications and for return of CAFs.
Week commencing 13 November 2023	List of applications sent to Voluntary-Aided (VA) schools, Academics and Free Schools and other Local Authorities
Week commencing 1 January 2024	VA schools, Academies and Free Schools return full list of applications ranked according to their oversubscription criteria. Other LAs inform LA of preferences they can allocate. Liaison between admission authorities to resolve offers.
31 January 2024	Finalise allocations and further liaison as necessary.
1 March 2024 or next working day	Allocation letters sent out from LA to all parents via 2nd class post offering places and giving reasons for refusals and right of appeal. Email sent to parents who applied on line.
May and June 2024	Appeal hearings held.
