School where pupils are encouraged to 'let their light shine' maintains 'Good' Ofsted rating
Holy Trinity Rosehill Church of England Primary School in Fairfield is celebrating after retaining its 'Good' rating from Ofsted.
Inspectors visited the school in July and found "pleasant and polite" pupils, who are "courteous" and "represent their school well in the community".
There's also praise in the report for the school's "ambitious curriculum" and "high-quality resources".
Pupils with special educational needs are supported effectively and there are a variety of opportunities to support pupils' broader development, like glamping on the school field.
The school's head teacher, Mrs Andrea Swift, said: "We are delighted with the outcome of this inspection and the reference to our school vision 'let your light shine' which is reflected throughout the report.
"The children are the strength of our school and we are really proud that they let their lights shine through their wonderful behaviour, attitude towards learning and the way in which they are responsible and caring citizens.
"The report will help us to continue to make our amazing school the best it can be for our children and community."
Councillor Lisa Evans, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: "It's very pleasing to hear about this positive Ofsted result for Holy Trinity Rosehill Primary School and how all pupils are encouraged to 'let their light shine'.
"Of course, it's absolutely a collective effort and I pass on my congratulations to the staff, governors, pupils, parents and carers."
