Holidays Are Fun (HAF) Programme

Eligible school age children from reception to Year 11 who live in Stockton-on-Tees can access a place for holiday activities, including a meal at each session.

What is the programme?

The programme, delivered by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council in partnership with Catalyst, offers a wide range of activities including:

  • boxing
  • martial arts
  • sports and games
  • arts and crafts
  • SEND specific sessions

To be eligible, families must be in receipt of benefits-related free school meals, in receipt of Universal Credit, or experiencing financial difficulties. Check if you are eligible for free school meals and apply.

All our clubs are run by experienced organisations who will provide a safe and welcoming experience where children will have fun and make new friends.

What are the aims of the HAF programme?

The aim of the HAF programme is to ensure children:

  • eat healthily over the school holidays
  • be active during the school holidays
  • take part in engaging and enriching activities which support the development of resilience, character, and wellbeing along with their wider educational attainment
  • have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition

Booking has now closed for HAF October half-term holiday activities. Booking will open for the Christmas programme in late November.

If you are claiming universal credit or experiencing financial difficulties and need more information about HAF, please submit a call back request for the HAF team. Additionally, if you have an eligible child with SEND needs and require help finding a provision that meets their needs, please request a call back.
