Stockton Register Office ceremonies
We offer ceremonies in our statutory room or our approved premise room, the Nightingale Suite.
Statutory Room
Perfect for the small, relaxed and informal ceremony. The room holds 6 people - you and your partner, 2 witnesses and 2 registrars. Ceremonies in this room can take place from Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). The ceremony in our statutory room, consists of a warm and friendly introduction, the legal requirements and the signing of the schedule.
The Nightingale Suite
The Nightingale Suite is a bright, spacious, fully air-conditioned room. Ceremonies in the Nightingale Suite take place from Monday to Saturday (excluding Bank Holidays).
The ceremony in our Nightingale Suite is very relaxed and can be as formal or informal as you would like it to be. Our ceremony consists of a warm and friendly introduction, followed by the legal requirements and the signing of the schedule.
You will have the opportunity to capture the memorable day on camera or video. We will invite you to a discussion appointment with a registrar who will offer guidance and suggestions before the day of your ceremony. The only proviso we have to make is that there is no religious meaning to your readings or music.
There are a number of ways to personalise your ceremony.
For example, you could:
- include readings or poetry, read by a close friend or relative
- include personal vows to each other
- include a personal paragraph about yourselves to make your ceremony unique
- give or exchange rings, tokens or other gifts
- choose your favourite music for your ceremony
- include your children (or someone else's), perhaps as ring bearers
- refer to absent friends or loved ones
We charge a non-refundable booking fee. The full ceremony fee is payable 6 weeks prior to the ceremony taking place.
