There is no need to make an appointment just pop in at any time.

Why is the Council taking on so many new apprentices?

Councillor Bob Cook, Leader of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, said: "We're delighted to be offering so many opportunities and they have arisen for a number of reasons.

"Some are due to staff moving on while for others, we've got staff who are reaching retirement age and we'd envisage the apprentices getting trained up ready to take over from them when they do.

"We're looking for enthusiastic people who are motivated by the prospect of serving the people of the Borough. We've got a great track record in providing apprenticeships and plenty of examples of apprentices progressing into permanent roles.

"I'd encourage anybody who is interested in these roles to come along to one of the open days or if you can't make it, get on our website and find out more there."
