Have you applied for your child's secondary school place?

If your child was born between 1 September 2010 and 31 August 2011, they will be starting secondary school in September 2022.

The online application portal is now live (opens new window) or you can call 01642 526605 to request a paper copy to be sent out.

Any applications received after Sunday 31 October will be classified as late. Such applications will only be considered after those made on time have been processed.

Councillor Lisa Evans, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: "It's vitally important that parents and carers get their child's application submitted in good time to help make their transition from primary to secondary school easier.

"It can be a difficult and anxious time for everyone involved but I'd encourage you to research schools you are thinking about applying for.

"Also consider how your child will get to school and make yourself familiar with our school transport policy.

"Applications are numbered in their thousands every year and there's not long until the deadline so please submit your application as soon as you can."
