Our aim is to ensure that resources are directed in accordance with agreed policy and according to priorities. That there is sound and inclusive decision-making, with clear accountability to achieve the desired outcomes for service users and communities. 

As a Local Authority we have a responsibility for long-term sustainability, economic, environmental and the wellbeing of our residents and wider communities.

Data protection legislation gives you more control over how your personal data is used.

Data matching

We are required by law to protect the public funds that we manage. We may share information given to us with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public money to help prevent and detect fraud.

Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA)

The Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, or RIPA as it is commonly known, governs the use of covert surveillance by public bodies.
