Supercar Saturday is almost here: Find out what you need to know

A Ferrari 488 Pista, a Ford GT, and a McLaren 600LT Spider will be some of the amazing cars on show at this year's Supercar Saturday.

Motoring enthusiasts will be treated to a vast display of high-power performance vehicles during the event on Stockton High Street this weekend.

The free, family-friendly, supercar event will take place on Saturday, May 7 from 10am to 4pm.

Here's what you need to know:

• At 12.15pm the popular supercar parade will begin, featuring the McLaren 600LT Spider, Porsche 911 GT3RS and Lamborghini Huracan and many more. There will be a 40-car lap convoy around the High Street giving visitors the chance to hear and see the vehicles in action
• 80 high-performance, vintage and classic cars will be parked up on the High Street and Bishop Street car park for people to view and enjoy
• And new for this year is a 'Millionaires' Row' featuring 40 rarely seen, luxury cars such as the Ferrari 488 Pista and Ford GT with a combined worth of over £500,000
• There will be a range of motorbikes on display as well as bike safety talks from Ridercraft Motor Bike Training School
• On top of existing town centre food outlets refreshments will be available from Bella's Pizza Van, Bethanie's Cakes and R&B Sweets plus there'll be stalls for car enthusiasts such as Lofty's Car Merchandise and Mojo Car Care. The JPC Specialist Motorsport Ltd and JPC Community Farm will also have a charity stand

Councillor Jim Beall, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Health, Leisure and Culture, said: "We're looking forward to welcoming back this exciting event which is a must see for car enthusiasts and families just looking for a fun day out.

"The popular parade will rev-up, showing the cars off to visitors around the High Street.  And this year we've also got a 'Millionaires' Row' where visitors can marvel at top of the range, high-performance cars. There'll also be a vast display of classic, vintage and racing cars for people to see."

On Saturday, May 7 access to the High Street will restricted from 9.30am to 4pm. Access to bus stops and the taxi rank at southern end of the High Street will be restricted from 12 noon - 1pm, diverted to Prince Regent Street, to allow the convoy to take place. Knowles Street will also be closed from 6am on Saturday, May 7 until 4pm that day.   

The High Street and Bishop Street car parks will also be closed from 6pm on Friday, May 6 until 6pm on Saturday, May 7.

Please note that spectators will not be able to exhibit their vehicles on the day.  

This event is organised by JPC Specialist Motorsports in partnership with Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
